Solar & Wind Combo?

Postby Stilletto_Rebel » Wed Nov 20, 2019 7:11 am

Hi all,

I've tried searching to see if this has been posted before (I'm sure it has), but I couldn't find anything.

I have a 6.6kw system with a Tesla Powerwall2 and 20 panels. The Powerwall is ok. It charges up fairly quickly and usually lasts through the night (unless the Mrs wants the heating on!) until the sun is up next day. However if the sun isn't up, we are drawing off the grid.

I'm interested in seeing if I can get a wind turbine (or two?) to supplement the panels. We live near Ballarat (Vic), where there is almost always some wind.

My question is: Are there any turbine installers who will either supply and fit the turbine to the existing Powerwall, or just fit if I purchase the components. (I'm not knowledgeable enough to attempt this myself). I've tried Googling, but can't find anybody who does this.
