Hello all.
It seems like the forum might start to get some viewers back which would be great. I'm not a fan of Facebook pages.

I haven't lived off grid for quite a few years now but still have the property rented out so still facing many of the challenges.
My system is now 14 years old and the original lead acid batteries are going ok. I haven't noticed too much loss in performance but i haven't done a capacity test either.

For people with old systems what have you done to keep everything reliable? Fixed issues as they come or done big upgrades? There is a chance that i will be moving back in with a much bigger family now either to fix up and sell or stay for a few years. We still only have around 3kw on the roof so that will be the first upgrade. (Can you just add these normal 6.6kw residential systems that seem quite cheap?)

The mrs would really like a small reverse cycle in the kids bedroom and potentially a medium sized (5kw) one in the living area for when the wood heater isn't on. The house is well insulated.

Going to be a big move from the sunshine coast back to the cold :)

Thanks.
