Hi I was active here 8 years ago, I got a domestic grid tied install 3kW since 2009 , today on current Vic feed in tariff 8 cents kWh, I got my hands on 2kW of panels and tile roof mounts for $500 (house down the road being demolished) looking to max out 5kW with new dual input MPPT inverter set up as 3 +2 kW, can I do a on line pre approval of 5kW single phase connection, inverter swap over and get get basic certificate of electrical safety using sparky mate or do I have to go through the whole process of CEC accredited person, other option is to have demand logic to add producing power depending on loads ie aircons oven dryer ect and dont tell anyone I already used old latronics PVE 1200 watt 96 volt grid tied inverter using logic and switching in and out 4 PV strings of 2x190W PV to inverter input based on load demand at mates rental works a treat

and all the product has to be CEC approved as well, not on the list anymore not good to install anymore.

So called Standalone Power System (SPS) you have much, much more control, batteries are required nad there will be no export of FIT, however you get control back.
