Hi
Well this discussion didn't get off the ground. So I have started to do my own searching. This might be duplicating stuff on other threads but so what.
I started at the comparison Gov web site. In past times when searching for prices I have found that the search engines place other 'for profit' sites in front that have 'skewed results'.

Just the same here, so go to the correct site.
https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/As I was looking generally I put in my postcode and a time of use meter but not a bill estimate or similar as I was looking for the solar tariffs and daily charge rate and the three daily rates, just to get some idea what was good and bad. The postcode filter seems to have removed the best suggested supplier, enova as they do not extend to here

I had 88 offers supplied !!I have not looked at most of them so there may be a golden nugget left to find, i just went to the most likely or previously recommended.
So far Red Energy looks up there, but has several offers which all look the same at first glance ??? Like all the other big players really, designed to confuse the punters and hope they do not see the pitfall in the details.
If you are a small user then the daily charge can make a large difference, seems like 94.2 c/day is the best.
Solar 8 c/kwhr. (enova is 12 now!) the good rates are around Peak 48.9, shoulder 19.8, other 13. Many higher of course. Some slightly lower but no solar plan offered ?
There are also discounts for paying on time or ?? which can go up to 20% but not on the whole bill sometimes ?
