Now this is something that we were talking about, having to "develop".
Energy Storage..
Charge it up during the AM OFF-PEAK Tariff hours and then suck the cold out in the PM peak hours.
Now all we need is an Air-Conditioning head that will accept Cold-Water rather than Cold Gas.
I suspect that a BIG one (eg. 2Hp) that uses 1/2" (minimum) tube might be OK for conversion..
I am already using a heat-pump - to both Heat the Household water, and cool the pantry....
Wonder how practical it is to heat water and make ice for room cooling ?
NEXT - Charge Batteries during the AM-Off-Peak and Invert back during the PM-PEAK..
Does anyone know a manufacturer of Poly Tanks, who might like to work on a project
ie. The production of a double walled tank (insulated between), where an Air-Conditioner (Heat-Pump) freezes the water at the top and a bottom loop, is used to pump cold-water (Glycol) to the Inside-Unit/heat exchanger. ie.. a DIY Cold-Accumulator !
