Thanks Gordon and others , I appreciate your responses.

Its easy to look at the basic parts to these projects and form a view of costs , but all the small details and fine tuning can make it snowball from there so i think the KISS principle is the winner and stick with Solar , its likely to require less maintenance and i can use my time on other things that have value.
