Hi there, I'm about to run some 4mm2 solar cable under ground and am not sure of the conduit type to use to be code compliant.

i know indoors its to be HD UPVC Grey marked solar every 1200mm and for 240V underground orange HD @ 600mm deep with warning tape above but whats the expectation for solar cable? itll be running about 600V

here the ditch needs to be 600mm deep. orange conduit, and a warning plastic strip somewhat higher than the conduit.
if you go through the trouble of digging the ditch, make sure to bury some spare conduit or better a 100mm sewage pipe for latter expansion. for like a ethernet cable or so.

That's not quite accurate, in fact it is 500mm to the top of the conduit minimum and tape at the applicable distance, there is specific distance above, just forgotten right now as I hardly ever do it, but it is clearly stated in AS3000.
