Cheap used panels !

Postby jaahn » Tue Feb 12, 2019 10:01 am

Hi :)
I was at the tipshop for Nelson Bay area at the weekend and they had a stack of 29 solar panels for sale. Looked in VGC and not too old or damaged. Trina 250W for $50 each. The guy said they started with several hundred and they were the last left. :o

Seemed a good price to me if you want one or several for a camping project or off grid setup. Bulk discount available. Someone bought 150 of them !
Jaahn
Trina 250PC05A. Note 30cell type. 250W, MPV- 30.5V, MPC- 8.20A.
Also some new electrical meter boxes.

You will most likely find they have leaking to earth faults. Fine on 12, 24 or 48V systems. Just don't string lots together.

Classic! :D

Can't wait for the next instalment.

Not quite "Who's on First", but not bad.

Hey Lantern, your name isn't Tim by any chance?

No. Not a Tim.
But I do wonder, if he doesn't know how to check for this should he even be trying?
I do not want to be responsible for him flying off the roof.
