Help required Apollosolar T80 HV charge controller

Postby TsaTsa2CV » Thu Jan 24, 2019 3:52 pm

Hi everyone,
I hope someone may be of any help with the slave controller that stoped to work. The master controller is still working and carrying to load on our off grid system. I attempted to contact Apollo Solar without success and I have read that they no longer operate. However, someone would still service them with the knowllage required.
They did come with a 10 year warranty and ours have worked faultlessly for 7 years now. Can anyone of you solar experts suggest where I can go to get this charge controller looked at. The initial installer has moved interstate and is also not responding to my help.
Would be great if we could have this controller fixed by someone in Victoria. If not, what could replace it!
24v off grid system with Latronic 4024 inverter and 5.5kW of PV and 1680ah Raylite batteries.

Thanking anyone for help in advance

Contact apollo solar at the following link.

http://apollosolar.com/contact-us/

By the way, as far as I was aware they always had a 5 year warranty, who gave you a 10 year warranty?

Check the original spec sheet here,
http://apollosolar.com/wp-content/uploa ... R-2015.pdf
it states 5 year warranty as well.

Thanks for that, I shall attempt to contact them. As far as the 10 year warranty is concerned I, after I looked up the internet on Apollosolar T80, I got to energymatters own website and it clearly reads 10 years
I was surprised at the 10 years stated and this is not an issue for me, happy to pay to have the equipment fixed and working again as I’m not keen to have it replaced just because a possibly simple and cheap electronic part failed. As for now, the system is limping along on one only working hard to stay cool during the heatwave conditions, 44°C forecast!
I shall report on the success or otherwise!

Cheers

In that particular case it would be energymatters offering the extended warranty not apollosolar, you would have had to have purchased it through that specific company in this case, energymatters, otherwise the statement is not relevant, oh and have it writing from the original install. #just saying
