having the problem of my inverter from Beyond Building since 6 months ago, as Beyond Building Energy no longer offers technical support or service enquiries. I don't know what to do.

Any brand/model numbers on it? Pictures might help, especially if its a re-badged unit.

Whats the issue with it? Sorry but I dropped my crystal ball :D .

I have a Beyond Building Sunny Roo solar power inverter that is 1500 watts and error or fault which is ER22, it means output relay fail. The Beyond Building had close company and no one answer the call, I am still having warranty, but I can't find anyone to fix it.

Well your warranty is no longer - sunny roo they are known for that type failure. It can be repaired but it will not be free, check whirlpool for threads on who does it, I think I could do it but I've never done one, or another option would be an electronics business that does board level repairs.

Warranty only from distributor no one else, I think there no longer as well. I'm going to say $250 plus freight but I can't say for sure could be less. That's the cost I've seen quoted elsewhere. Nothing if it really cant be repaired apart from freight costs

You have unfortunately been a victim of an unreliable product combined with the supplier going out of business thus rendering the warranty pretty much useless.

If you want to replace with SMA then, as a rough guide, Apollo Energy has them listed at about $1600 for one that size. That's just for the inverter and doesn't include installation (though installation won't cost a huge amount).

Any solar installer who uses SMA inverters would be able to supply and fit one. You'd have to check locally to see who's in the business but to be fair I'll point out that Energy Matters who runs this forum are themselves in the solar installation business and they can supply SMA inverters. You'd need to contact their office for a quote (but you are of course free to use any solar installer).

Hi All,
I have just been through the Sunnyroo ER22 saga. I was told my inverter did well to last this long. I could not afford to replace it so I finally found a company that would actually repair it. Most of the companies were just trying to sell me a new inverter. It didnt cost much and the turn around time was really quick. If anyone else has to go through this trauma I highly recommend glensolar.
