Outback Power MATE3, HUB 10, FLEXNET DC, 3 shunts SOLD

Postby peteraltas » Mon Nov 09, 2015 1:32 pm

G'day.

I've got some new gear I never got around to installing for a system upgrade and have now sold my property.

I've got them listed on ebay (admin, please delete link if not allowed).

http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.vi ... 03&alt=web

The item description is as follows:
-------------------------------------
Outback Power solar control components:

- MATE3 remote control unit
- FlexNet DC controller with 3 shunts included
- HUB 10 network manager
- Cat 5 network cables
- 2 Outback Power temperature sensors

Was planning on upgrading my stand alone solar system with these but sold my property and no longer need them.

Over $2500 worth of the best control gear available. Has the ability to control multiple components from a single smart programmable display (will make multiple MPPT charge controllers work in unison), can also be used to automatically start/stop generator control for hassle free automation.

Huge potential for expandablilty.

Auction started at $1000 postage included and ended on Friday with only one bid.
Following the ebay link provided would have revealed the selling format and price.

Someone grabbed one hell of a bargain. Surprised by the lack of interest, but nevermind.

Very Very small market, and most newer off-grid installs are A/C coupled, so even smaller demand for multiple DC charge controllers.

That and a lot of the features and more offered by the expensive additional gear required for the outback range is all standard kit now days. Built into other brands of controllers .

Unfortunately Gunna.does not.delete threads, and just locks them..
Not convinced that is a good policy as it leaves countless potential.chaff that makes "SEARCH" a pain..
(As experienced on other forumns where it becomes difficult to use search)
But then, it increases his work load playing cleaner..
And the typical fact that many folk do not bother returning to declare an item sold

I agree with the observation about Outback products.. Typical American gear.. make it complex and TECHNICAL and yanks will buy it.. build it all into the base product, and it won't be as attractive..

FWIW... I reluctantly bought the same three items for $500 (but no other bits)
NoOne. Wanted to buy his complete system, and there was only the interest in the used inverter, at a fair price..
I have had an inverter running for ages with no extras, and with no known issues .. simply refused to spend that stupid money on solar bling ..
