Product review - Flukso

Postby bazzle » Thu Oct 20, 2011 7:58 am

I have just installed the 2nd generation Flukso meter to my solar and mains as a real time monitor.
The output can be seen in real time on the home pc by wifi or LAN. It also downloads the data directly to the Fluso site https://www.flukso.net/logger/electricity/hour for viewing anywhere in the world.

There is amore info here: https://www.flukso.net/content/about-flukso
With Oz distributor here: http://www.rowetel.com/blog/?page_id=312

It was pretty easy to set up just requiring a laptop on wi fi and a LAN cable plugged into the Flukso to set the paramaters to rewach the unit.

3 days of use now, all seems ok. Had some issues saving the wi fi user info but I put that down to my not doing something right somewhere.

There is a development forum thread too where it seems users do other things with the data etc but I havnt gone there yet.
Data can be viewed in hours, days, months etc. Watts, kWh, cost etc
Still looking thru the options as a new user does

PVoutput .org now has a direct feed to the Flukso data
Links here:
https://www.flukso.net/content/water-and-gas-pvoutput
Link to mine:
http://pvoutput.org/intraday.jsp?id=1335&sid=4380

You can also now measure Gas and Water consumption on the Flukso.
PVoutput has also just put up an extended data input for these as well (click the right hand small box in centre under graph) but I havent got mine working correctly yet.
