I bought the webbox 'used' but in perfect condition (like new) back in May 2010 from a man in the US of A. The original owner had the box for 3 months, and was purely after the device for the short-term because he was interested in solar-pv monitoring in all shapes and forms. He wanted to see how SMA went about things with the box and how it logged data. After he had seen it all and I assume learnt something from it, he wanted to offload the box.
I picked it up because in Feb 2010 I started doing research for a home pv-system, and had made a deposit on a SMA based system in May of 2010. Until Oct 2010 the intention was to have a 6000A inverter. I was simply going to hook the 6000A up to the webbox to satify my solar data thirst, but also more importantly, so for the longterm I could gauge the performance of my system, and be 100% certain that everything was/is working perfectly. The fact that it's also a set and forget device is a plus.
By Oct 2010 my solar installers found some site problems and so the 6000A had to go. I now have a 5000TL and 3000TL instead. Both have bluetooth and I have been using the BT with Sunny Explorer.
I have not used the webbox at all, and it is still sitting safely in its box with all the items in its 'list of materials' accounted for. Still in 'like new' condition. It came standard with 5 year warranty. This expires on the 3rd of February 2015.
The serial number is 150032828
Feel free to call up SMA Aust. to double check the serial number and warranty info.
Warranty itself doesn't need to be signed over or anything, as SMA warranty is soley attached to the serial number itself and not the owner.
I live in south western Sydney (Campbelltown 2560), and pickup is available.
Postage would be via registered post.
Any questions, just ask:
I'll add some photos of all the included gear tomorrow.
Take care,
Adrian.
