It's wrong, surly they can't change the rules now!

The latest email update on Jan 16 2012 from the DPI on the “Government inquiry into solar feed-in tariffs” clarified this with the statement:

The outcomes will not be applied retrospectively to any customers on existing feed-in tariffs, and potential customers wishing to sign up to the current Transitional Feed-in Tariff scheme will not be affected.

It was also covered in the Inquiry's "Terms Of Reference": http://www.vcec.vic.gov.au/CA256EAF001C ... ariffs.pdf
>>>>>> Any changes to existing arrangements would not be applied retrospectively.

Energy matters sent all their paper work to the wrong supplier when at no stage the consumer indicated they were intending to use Diamond Energy, this mistake was only discovered in Jan 2012 (installation Aug 2011) and when discovered, EM sent the application form for the correct meter change to the correct energy company but GUESS WHAT THEY PUT THE WRONG ADDRESS ON IT and by the time all this was discovered and steps taken to race the correct identification/address etc in by the dead line which was achieved, ETSA now state they did not have time to process the correction and now the PFIT is unavailable to the family.!!!!!!!!!!! This is more than distressing knowing you did everything correctly from the consumers end (PAYING UP FRONT), but again the recurring theme is that Energy Matters made far too many mistakes with the paper which in the end cost the consumer more than one can afford. We the consumer have paid a huge price for a 5 kw system from Energy Matters to be paid at an SFIT rate leaves the consumer in a very poor financial situation. Energy Matters who supposedly pride themselves on good customer service need to provide either a 50% discount on the 5 kw system or fix the situation that they are to blame for: for such mistake ridden paper work.

Just an update - the issues mentioned above by famlea regarding his cousin are being investigated by EM's senior managers.
