Correct Bills for WA

Financial support for wind and solar power in Australia - rebates, grants and feed in tariffs - can be a nightmare in navigating all the rules and regulations. Ask your questions and view related information here.

WIN -
Synergy took a little time to sort it out
- I dont think they have quite got the smartpower billing and solar sorted just yet.
and
All of this was probably compounded by my sending in a new -revised REBS form with ~7500W of PV and 5000W inverters.

Sorted in total with cheques and refunds all sorted.

I give them a 0/10 for the problem and I give them a 5/10 for the time taken to resolve
and a 10/10 for the guys and girls at Synergy who made it all good again :D.

Thankyou Synergy !

Oh dear.... here we go again.....
last month, Synergy Auto direct debited $750 from my account, after much pain and suffering and hours on hold, i got my $750 back 14 days later and 7 days after that the cheque for the $750 they owed me.

just got this wee little ripper - bill for $685 and a warning that I will be disconnected if I dont pay.
Looks like i'll be going through the same pain again where synergy can't tell the difference between + and -.

Looks like Smartpower is a little too smart for the systems at synergy to cope with.

By my logging i've been using and average 8kWhrs a day off peak no shoulder and 1kwhr of peak juice.
and feeding in 17kWhrs ++ hence
some rough maths $53+26.50 - 479 = roughly should be $400 in credit.

Progress
got a cheque, with no bill attached for $397.50 cashed it straight away, called Synergy back and asked why my account is still on-hold and in a mess when they had just sent me a cheque.

What Cheque they asked? :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

lets just say they are struggling to deal with a guy that uses less than 10%
($ for $ not kw for kw) of what he makes!

Synergy's annual report for 2010/2011 is now available on Synergy's website.

Complaints to the Energy Ombudsman are up 75% to 3367, and forecast to be 3250 for 2011/12. Doesn't seem like things will be improving anytime soon!

I got a good resolution via the ombudsman settled by Synergy by waiving this and that crediting this and that.
all up about $100 better off.

Better in my pocket than his and probably pretty close. Lets hope they get the next "bill" right.

Has anybody worked out how SECWA work it out? I've tried a couple of times but never get the same as they do. See my image for last times readings and today's. These are 61 days apart.

Tarrif A used 12 units fed in 169
Tarrif C used 307 fed in 2 units
Tarrif B used 105 fed in 86
Tarrif D 45 units used and 102 fed in

Tarrif rates are

A= peak rate
B weekday shoulder
C= off peak
D= weekend shoulder

obviously you are on smart power and doing well at it

Thanks karlajensen, I got that far and further. I probably should have said that.

I calculated last time that I'd used
A 95 = $40.04
C 222 = $25.13
B 24 = $5.15
D 44 = $7.82
A total of $78.14
Now we get 4x Dependent Child Rebate of $22 (and we also get a supply charge rebate of $63.70)

Then I figured 204 units generated @ 47cents = $95.88 and thought the rest was simple.
$78.14 - $22 = $56.14
$95.88 - $56.14 = $39.74 coming to me.
They said I owed them $7.80
What.......??????? Where did I go wrong?

Like you say, doing alright, not bad power use for a family of 6 for 49 days!
BTW that was 7 x 230W Q-cell panels. I've put 2 more on since and will put 3 more on when I can.
30 evacuated tubes will replace 2 Solar Edwards flat panels soon and these will be fitted @ 60deg to capture the best possible winter heat.
