Battery testing and comparison

Postby Gordon-Loomberah » Wed Aug 17, 2016 4:14 pm

Recently set up, and clearly there are still some bugs to iron out in the graphs[1], this site shows ongoing live test data for a number of popular Lithium and Lead-acid batteries, and also, commonly used in DIY systems, CALB cells.

The ARENA-funded Lithium Ion Battery Test Centre compares various lithium-ion battery chemistries and products available in the Australian market against claims made by manufacturers. Tested under Australian conditions, the results of the centre will provide consumers with independent information on battery performance.

[1] As of 16:00 17/8/16, charging and discharging with no change in SOC, change in SOC with no charging or discharging, and 1 case of ridiculously high charging rates- almost 200kW into a 10.8kWh battery. Hopefully these problems will be sorted out soon, and wont contaminate 6 monthly summaries.
