Just a bit of feedback. Last year I had a Sunny Mini Central SMC 60000TL installed and was keen to ensure that I have access to the stats via the Bluetooth card installed to my workstation located some 30 metres away from the device using Sunny Explorer.
Once commissioned I soon learned that the Bluetooth transmitting area for the inverter was limited to about 3 metres, due to the metal casing of the inverter (confirmed by one of the SMA techs).
This meant that I had to take a lap top out to near the inverter each night to capture kWH produced for that day and if I miss a day, the inverter does not provided a graph for the day I miss.
So the solution was not to make any changes to inverter but instead I purchased a Manhattan Bluetooth Adaptor - Hi-Speed USB, C1 + EDR, with a Range of 100m (328ft) at $19 AU (from Scorptech Rowville Vic) and plugged it into my workstation.
After setting up the new adaptor and establishing a connection to the inverter with Win7 I can now connect to the inverter using Sunny Explorer with 50% Bluetooth connectivity.
No trips to the garage each day to get a reading with the laptop and did not have to purchase the SMA Bluetooth repeater, which is limited in range as I understand it.
Thought this feed back might help someone.
