I've picked up a pair of fairly old hot water heating panels from a system with a pump and [tank below panels] and I'm considering using them in my low pressure thermo-syphon [tank above panels] system.

Beyond what I can see through the glass, I don't know what the construction details of these panels are but I'm wondering what faults might exist in used panels like this and whether it might be possible for example, to clean out the inside of the pipes.

Any thoughts welcome.
