difference between inverter readings and ergons readings

Postby blackbuttsolar » Thu Mar 16, 2017 11:09 am

I have a difference between the KWH readings on my inverter and the KWH readings on my Ergon power bill. Ergons seems to be 4 times smaller than my inverter readings. I always thought that a KWH was a KWH in any voltage. Can anyone eplease xplain why this is so.

I suspect your inverter is showing gross, ie total production, but Ergon's meter is only showing exports, the difference being what you use yourself

suspect no. Definately! you used the rest on-site first, only the excess was exported.
