There's more to renewable energy than just wind and solar power - hydro, wave, geothermal to name a few. Discuss these RE alternatives here!

[cogeneration] annual heat consumption per unit area

Postby flygon » Thu Mar 27, 2014 2:49 pm

Hello. I am a graduate student of university, and my current research is optimization of district heating system using cogeneration plant.
For research, data of annual heat consumption per unit area in building classified with U.S. states(Maryland, Texas, Minnesota) and building types (apartment, office, commercial, etc.). The main purpose is to know the heat to power ratio of buildings in three states.
I think such kind of information has been published by an official group about energy (EIA, department of energy, etc.) because such kind of information could be used for various purposes, but it is hard for me to find that.
Can I ask for help getting such kind of information?

Yes indeed, you may find it hard getting such details from Australia..

But welcome, and I hope a knowledgeable researcher from State-Side, can help you..
