The Tokai University solar car entry #60 Tokai Challenger is in the lead on day 2 of the 2009 Global Green Challenge.
The Japanese entry finished the day’s running, covering 1531 kilometres from the Darwin start and was through the Alice Springs checkpoint.
Running second was car #2 Infinium (University of Michigan Solar Car Team) camped north of Alice Springs 1465 kilometres from the start.
In third position over night on day 2 of the event was car #3 Nuna V (Nuon Solar Team) from the Netherlands, camped north of Alice Springs 1445 kilometres from Darwin.
