Watching with interest - Still, it is only half green - Pale-green..
We are still reliant on Coal-Burning power generation.
Saw something on the TV where a guy has managed to burn Sea Water.. No crap.. The real thing..
Uses strong Radio Waves to "Disintegrate the water" and it burns with a bright yellow flame. One assumes that it is electrolising????? the water into H&O. Just wonder how much energy will be needed to "Decompose Seawater" so that we can burn it. Most things are possible in the Lab.. and one would need to cover one's manhood in the strong RF field.
Engineer and keen PV experimenter. . . . . . . .. . . . Always ready to learn and share.
CMS2000 GCI and SolarEnertec 170W panels.....Conergy HP1S-25 Water Heat-Pump.

It was on tv, so it must be true!

Assuming he really is breaking the water into H2 and O, he would be using more energy to do that (given it wont be 100% efficient) than he would get back from re-combining the H2 + O to produce water. I think that could be said to be reducing efficiency rather than improving it. Better to use the electricity directly!
... unless of course he has found a way to beat the First Law of Thermodynamics

The bright yellow flame bit is a worry too, I'm pretty sure H2 + O combustion is clear or light blue, so there must be some Sodium contribution, which does burn yellow. ( sprinkle salt into a gas flame to see the Sodium emission colour)

This link is worth reviewing...

Spot on Gordon, in EVERY respect..
( Except that it was on TV, and therefor had to be believed )
It was a real story, and shown to be valid.. No trick photography.. Just showed the test-tube between two heads of the machine, and put a match to it

ENERGY - Exactly my first thought... Yellow Flame - I too knew there was sodium there, so it was smashing the NACL as well as the h2O.. But from simple things, big things grow..

just can't remember the context in which it was shown.. I think it was a guy looking to do something "Medical" -- Looking for a cure for cancer or something.. I know that I had thought at the time, there was a similar idea used in Adelaide, I think.. The DOCTOR used a bank of radios and antennas in a metal box (like an iron lung) EVERYONE thought he was crazy and he was careful re prosecution.. The funny thing was that MANY of his patients WERE cured..
I guess that it was a bit similar to a Microwave (Half the frequency) and was such that it affected Cancer cells more than good cells.. Wonder whatever happened to him?

Dunno, but the links to the yellow flame video I found online all led to a blank page- it had been removed by youtoob for breach of terms or something...
