So you do have a Legit PV-feedin system and then the supplementary fiddles ..
One thing with the frozen water bottles, is that they may help in the freezer but (assuming they are frost free - ie with fans) the cold won't be distributed.. you could try replacing the freezer fans with 12V ones that run most of the time except during defrost..
12V fans are used in Fing-Paykel fridges (older ones)
I had the best of intentions to do the same with our fridges, but the freezers don't have the room for the blessed bottles.
The best refrigerators to do this with are newer ones that use a thermostatic damper. To limit the air going to the PC compartment .. I think most newer ones now have such devices..
This means that the freezer just cycles as a COLD RESEVOIR.. and some cold is stolen via the fan, to cool the rest ie. The PC..
