new installation

We had 5kw put on the roof last week. The installer rang the night before to say he would be there around 9am. This was a surprise as we were told it was to be around 7am. But this was a bonus as I had to be in Caboolture at 9am, so I went after the installer called, (I stayed at my Daughters house) . I arrived home about 1230 to find most of the panels were already up and the Inverter had been fitted. By 4pm they had finished and after an installation info session, they were gone. This was done without the blaring noise of a radio or CD player which was very welcome. Very pleased with the attention to detail. After they had gone I did go through the the "rubbish" they had put in the bin and found more than a few bits that I could use. Waiting now for the Feed in Meter to be fitted. :D :D

Welcome to the Energy Matters forums Chris :) It sounds like your installaion went very smoothly, any idea of how long it will before your meter is installed and you can start selling power?

How good are these guys (Energy matters) very impressed with the time it took to order and install 2 weeks in full .
Last Feb 2011 i was scamed by another Solar Mob (TRUE Value Solar) after countless night sleeps Consumer Affairs finally managed to get my deposit of $2500 back, i recived deposit back in November 2011 ,with no appoligy and or contact from TRUE Value Solar.

Ergon are supposed to be fitting the new meter next week, 28th feb. I asked them to remove the hot water meter while they are there as we have solar HW. Even through the winter with the electric element turned on, we never did get above the minimum charge. $17 a quarter is better in my pocket than theirs. As far as getting stung by the hotshots, Energy Matters only wanted $100 deposit, so I thought that if they sudddenly dissapear, I would only lose $100. But they have been good. :)

Ergon Energy, you can't trust them!!

I phoned Ergon Energy to find out when they were going to fit the Feed in Tarriff meter. They said it is booked in for the 28 Feb. I went home last night, 21st, and the solar panels had been turned on. I looked in the meter box and the 3 meters (3ph) had been replaced by a single new digital meter and had been generating for the last week or so. So while we have been away the house has been making money. That has to be good. :D :D
