Those kids need educating!! Taps are not on/off devices, they have flow control built in. To fill a glass with water, turn them all the way on. To trickle water over your fingers to wet them before applying soap, just turn them on a small amount.

As with your bath, if it takes double the time to fill the kettle (sink for washing up, pan for boiling veg. or whatever) your pump is running for twice as long........ it's more efficient to have full flow taps and responsible users!

Education can be a challenge, I have taught my dog to sit, fetch and play dead however I cannot teach my wife or daughter to turn a light off when they exit a room

ahhh... that's why they say a dog is mans best friend


must admit, my daughter is the worst, no matter how often I remind her daylight, blinds open lights off, I still find her locked away in the artificially illuminated cave. Even had to go to the switchboard and kill the light circuit the other day to hammer the point home (as being civil and politely requesting does notwork)

I am sure in my lifetime, I will see her all over her kids to switch off
